Radical Agenda EP056 – Defacing the Debate 5

And then there were 8. Finally, a little bit of discrimination from the part everybody likes to call racist. Tonight (Tuesday November 10th) at 9pm Eastern, Fox Business and the Wall Street Journal will host the 4th GOP Presidential Primary debate of this election season. The main event features Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, Jeb Bush, John Kasich and Rand Paul. The early “undercard” (read, losers who cannot win) event starts at 7pm Eastern and will feature Chris Christie, Bobby Jindal, Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum, but who cares about them?

Radical Agenda EP056 – Defacing the Debate 5

I had originally planned not to do an episode during this particular debate for a few reasons. For one, these things are generally pretty rapid fire and I don’t want to talk over something worthwhile. If we’re going to do this, we might as well hear what they have to say, but that leads me to my second point. They so rarely say anything worth hearing. So while I’m trying to keep my mouth shut for the sake of an informed audience, these idiots are plugging their autobiographies and making silly sentimental statements that have no impact on policy. And as far as policy goes, the evidence is they are either totally ignorant of how the federal government works, or they are all counting on us to live in that state of ignorance.

I’m growing increasingly frustrated and impatient with electoral politics. I swore off this mess years ago with a hard line “voting is pointless” position. But equally concerning is the general state of affairs here and around the world, so whatever tools are made available to us, I say let’s use them. But these things have this nasty habit of reminding me that things will get worse no matter who wins. It’s really quite depressing.

But, when I mentioned I wasn’t going to cover it, several listeners said they would miss the coverage. Some of whom are donors. Additionally, since this is being hosted by Fox Business and the Wall Street Journal, they are more likely to talk about economics which may actually have a bit more substance to it, and thus give me more to comment on. So, let’s be miserable together. I may take calls during the commercial breaks at 218-936-0815 or Radical Agenda on Skype.

Join us tonight, this Tuesday November 9th from 9pm until it ends, for this special Defacing the Debate episode of the Radical Agenda. It’s a show about common sense extremism where we talk about radical, crazy, off the wall things like, selecting an omnipotent ruler to violently govern the lives of hundreds of millions of people.
